I just got an e-mail about one of the events in a series that Vanderbilt puts together to get sheltered Vandy kids out and about in the Nashville area. The next Commodore Cruise is to the Jack Daniel’s distillery in Lynchburg, and the trip includes a restaurant meal. I really enjoyed this from the description (emphasis mine):

Event: Commodore Cruise – Jack Daniel’s Distillery Tour & Dinner at Miss Mary Bobo’s Café (country style dining with no vegetarian option)

Date: Saturday, April 4, 2009

Time: Bus Loads at 10:15AM (2 hour bus trip; lunch at 1pm; tour at 2:15pm; back to campus around 6:30pm)

Something tells me that folks who want to go on a whiskey distillery tour probably aren’t vegetarians.
