For the sake of the GOP: Why Romney must win

The only chance the Republicans have of winning the 2012 election rests in the hands of Mitt Romney, and Republican voters need to take note.  With Rick Santorum emerging as the primary competition, the Republican Party needs to select the candidate who can best campaign against Obama and his rising approval rating, and that choice is quite simple. Our country right now is progressively liberal, not to a great extent, but we still lean more to the left as a whole.  Romney represents the perfect combination of liberal views within a conservative candidate who has a chance of defeating Obama, and that is exactly what the Republican Party needs.

Assuming Romney wins the Republican primary, his campaign would stand the best chance of winning over the moderate, undecided voters.  While he supports the Republican takes on social issues (pro-life, against gay marriage, etc.), it is not to the extent that Santorum does. Santorum essentially represents the rebirth of religion-based government, united under the morals of Christianity.  How many
undecided voters will that win over?  Romney has also shown that he can make progressive movements in healthcare reform that can win over bipartisan support, something Obama’s plan failed to do.

Most importantly, Romney represents a step forward for this country, while Santorum will simply leave the country in stagnation, due to the fact that Obama will win the presidency if Santorum wins the primary.
Romney has the capability to turn around the economy and serve as the link from a liberal America back to a conservative America.

So do the right thing: vote Romney.

We have a still struggling economy, Iran may have a nuclear weapon, and we are still battling muslim extremists who are harbored by our so-called Pakistani allies. And Santorum is still talking about sex and contraception? Seriously? In 2012? There are more important issues to be tackled by a more important candidate. He is not it. On the other hand. I really hope Santorum wins the nomination. It will guarantee Obama’s re-election.
