Election Coverage 2008
The 2008 election has already been long, arduous and filled with analysis. We, the Conservatives and Libertarians that we are, have a vested interested in one of the most wide open Republican nominations in decades (...centuries?), and one of the craziest head-to-head Democratic shoot outs in recent memory. And so, we at the Torch have compiled all our election coverage for you, gentle reader. Check it out below:
Our writers profile the candidates from the beginning of the fall. Check out the complete archives here or go straight to one of the profiles below:
- Mitt Romney (Aug 2007) by Katherine Miller

- Rudy Giuliani (Dec 2007) by Nick Rueter

This election is certainly the most important to face our nation in the past several decades. Many conservatives have found themselves caught in somewhat of a bind--no conservative candidate appears to be a rock solid heir to the Reagan mantle. So, we asked some writers to outline their ideal platforms for a few key party planks. These views do not represent the opinions of the entire Torch staff or the Editorial Board, but we hope that the candidates endorse some of them anyway.
